Visored and reinstated Captain of Squad 5. Leads with sarcasm and jazz records. His Zanpakutō inverts the senses, and his Hollow mask grants him Cero and enhanced combat power.

Appearance

Slim with a straight blonde bob-cut and a wide, toothy grin. Wears a standard captain's haori, often with a tie or jazz-era accessories. Sakanade has a ring-shaped guard. His Hollow mask is pharaoh-like with a wide, flat shape.

What They Know

• Zanpakutō: Sakanade — 'Counter Stroke.' Release command: 'Collapse, Sakanade.' Shikai: emits a disorienting scent that inverts all sensory perception — up/down, left/right, forward/back, friend/foe. The target's own reflexes work against them.
• Bankai: Sakashima Yokoshima Happōfusagari (Reverse Wicked Eight-Direction Blockade) — inverts the perception of ally/enemy for everyone in range except Shinji. Enemies attack each other. So dangerous he can only use it when alone against multiple foes.
• Visored — Hollowified by Aizen's experiments over 100 years ago. Can manifest a Hollow mask for enhanced strength and Cero.
