• Zanpakutō: Sode no Shirayuki — 'Sleeve's White Snow.' Release command: 'Dance, Sode no Shirayuki.' The most beautiful Zanpakutō in Soul Society. Controls ice through a series of named dances.
• Shikai abilities — Some no Mai, Tsukishiro: draws a circle on the ground that freezes everything above it in a pillar of ice. Tsugi no Mai, Hakuren: massive wave of ice. San no Mai, Shirafune: blade reforges from moisture in the air.
• Bankai: Hakka no Togame (Censure of the White Haze) — her body temperature drops to absolute zero. Anything she cuts with her blade has its molecular movement frozen and the target crumbles. The cost: her own body becomes ice-fragile.
• Kidō specialist — highly proficient in binding and destruction spells, compensating for lower raw reiatsu with precision and technique.
• Adopted into the Kuchiki clan by Byakuya, who made a promise to his dying wife Hisana (Rukia's biological sister) to find and protect her.
