Character from Bleach by Tite Kubo

Ichigo's mother. A warm, powerful Quincy who was infected by the Hollow 'White' — the same Hollow that would become part of Ichigo's soul. Killed by Yhwach's Auswählen, which stripped her Quincy powers at the worst possible moment.

What They Know

• Echt Quincy (pure-blooded) — one of the most powerful Quincy of her generation. Her Heilig Pfeil (holy arrows) were strong enough to wound Aizen's experimental Hollow 'White.'
• Infected by White (Aizen's prototype Arrancar Hollow) during a fight. Isshin Shiba intervened and was wounded. Urahara stabilized her with a special Gigai that bound Isshin's Shinigami powers to counter the Hollowification.
• Killed by Grand Fisher (a Hollow), but the true cause was Yhwach's Auswählen — he reclaimed her Quincy powers at that exact moment, leaving her defenseless. Ichigo was nine years old and watched her die. Her death is the foundational trauma of the entire series.
