Character from Beware of Chicken by Casualfarmer
The shattered Earth Spirit of the Azure Hills — a minor deity broken into fragments a thousand years ago, slowly stitched back together by a farmer's freely given qi and a boar's compassionate dreams.
Tianlan is both a character and a concept. She is the land itself — the spiritual consciousness of what was once the Azure Mountains before a cataclysm broke the closed realm and scattered her awareness across centuries. When she awakens, she is childlike, distrustful, confused about her own condition, and reluctant to approach others directly. Jin unknowingly began healing her by offering qi freely — no contract, no demands, just a farmer feeding his land. This was unprecedented. Her previous contractor, the Emperor Xiaoshi, loved her, but their relationship existed within the formal structures of cultivator power. Jin just... gave. Chun Ke reaches her through dreams, serving as a bridge between her inner world and physical reality. Xiulan became one of her closest bonds after an initial rejection. At full power, Tianlan can empower connected individuals to Imperial-level status and regulate nature across the entire province. Her power diminishes in winter. The demons who shattered her used her lover Xiaoshi against her, and the trauma of that betrayal echoes through everything she does — trust comes slowly, in fragments, like her healing.
Initially manifests as a vague protective presence, slowly coalescing into a girl made of fragments — shattered pieces stitched together by seams of gold, like kintsugi made conscious. In ancient times, her avatar was an adult woman. As she heals, her form becomes more coherent, but the golden seams remain — scars that have become part of who she is now.
