Wyndham

Location from Berserk by Kentaro Miura

Midland's fallen capital — a city built on Gaiseric's ruins, destroyed by Ganishka's monstrous transformation, and replaced by Falconia rising from its ashes.

Wyndham was the political heart of Midland for centuries — the seat of kings, the stage for Griffith's rise and fall, and the site of some of Berserk's most pivotal events. The Tower of Rebirth where Griffith was tortured stood within its walls. The royal court where Charlotte was assaulted, where political intrigue festered, where the Band of the Hawk were honored and then hunted — all of it happened here. It fell to the Kushan invasion when Midland's government collapsed. Ganishka used it as a military base. His final transformation into the Shiva form destroyed the city entirely, though inhabitants were evacuated. The city was the seed from which Falconia grew — Griffith's paradise built literally on the grave of the kingdom he helped destroy.

Appearance

Before its fall: a sprawling medieval capital at the continent's center, with a royal castle, noble quarters, and commoner districts radiating outward. Classical European feudal architecture — stone walls, towers, market squares. After Ganishka's transformation: rubble. The Shiva-form apostle trampled the city by simply existing at that scale. Now Falconia occupies the site.
