The Tower of Conviction was the Holy See's inquisition headquarters near the refugee settlement of Albion. Mozgus ran his torture operations from within, burning heretics and interrogating the desperate. The tower smelled like smoke and blood and fervent prayer — the Holy See's three primary exports. Beneath the tower, in a pit of accumulated corpses, the Egg of the Perfect World apostle incubated. The convergence of suffering, faith, and sacrifice at this location created the conditions for Griffith's incarnation ceremony — the tower literally served as a womb for a god's rebirth. Its collapse during the ceremony was one of Berserk's most apocalyptic set pieces.
A massive stone tower rising from the refugee city of Albion — imposing, austere, and stained with the suffering of centuries of inquisition. Its dungeons were designed for systematic torture. Its height dominated the skyline like a raised fist. During the incarnation ceremony, the tower collapsed into ruin as dimensional forces tore through it.
