A medieval kingdom at the continent's center — founded on the ruins of an ancient empire, shaped by a hundred years of war, and transformed into the last bastion of humanity under Griffith's rule.
Midland smells like wet stone, wood smoke, and the particular exhaustion of a kingdom that has been at war longer than most of its citizens have been alive. The Hundred-Year War against Tudor defined its culture — military service is respected, mercenary bands are common, and the nobility exists in uneasy alliance with the Holy See's religious authority. After the Eclipse and the Kushan invasion, Midland collapsed entirely. What remains is Falconia — Griffith's new capital, built on the ruins of Wyndham, humanity's sole refuge in a world overrun by monsters. The kingdom that was is now a memory that Griffith's paradise is built upon.
Rolling countryside dotted with feudal estates, fortified cities, and monasteries under the Holy See's influence. The landscape is classically medieval — stone walls, thatched roofs, muddy roads between market towns. Since the Great Wave, the borders are haunted by creatures from the merged astral world, driving refugees toward Falconia.
