The Kushan Empire was the world's largest military force under Emperor Ganishka — an apostle who used his supernatural power to build an army that combined conventional military might with demonic sorcery. The Bakiraka assassin clan served as his elite operatives, and court sorcerers like Daiba commanded astral beings in battle. The empire invaded Midland during its post-Eclipse weakness, capturing Wyndham and Princess Charlotte. Griffith's return and the subsequent defeat of Ganishka ended the Kushan threat — but the empire's remnants, including Silat's Bakiraka warriors, remain active in the post-Fantasia world.
A sprawling empire to the east of Midland, drawing from South and Central Asian aesthetics. Elephant cavalry, exotic weapons (katars, chakrams, urumi), dark-skinned warriors in elaborate armor. The war machines included pishacha demons and sorcery-enhanced siege weaponry. The empire's scale dwarfed anything in the western world.
