Godot's Forge

Location from Berserk by Kentaro Miura

A remote mountain forge where the Dragon Slayer was born and branded survivors found shelter — the closest thing to home Guts had after the Eclipse.

Godot's forge is where the Dragon Slayer sat gathering dust until Guts needed it, and where Guts, Casca, and Rickert sheltered after the Eclipse. It was a place of quiet industry — Godot forging weapons, Rickert learning engineering, Erica keeping things human, and Casca wandering in her regressed state under their watch. Guts left this sanctuary to pursue revenge against apostles, and Godot told him he was making a mistake — that leaving Casca unprotected while chasing the God Hand was selfish. He was right. The forge represents the path Guts didn't take: staying, protecting what he had left, building something instead of destroying.

Appearance

A stone and wood forge built into a mountainside, isolated and defensible. The interior is dominated by the forge itself — anvils, tools, weapon racks, and the perpetual warmth of banked coals. The surrounding area is forested and remote, accessible only by mountain paths. Simple but functional living quarters adjoin the workshop.
