Flora gave the Salamander Dagger to Isidro along with the other magical gifts to Guts' party. For a boy fighting trolls, pseudo-apostles, and things from the astral world with nothing but street fighting skills and stolen weapons, the fire-enchanted blade was the difference between contributing and dying. The dagger's flames are effective against creatures that resist normal weapons — trolls, evil spirits, and minor astral beings. It doesn't have the Dragon Slayer's ability to wound truly powerful entities, but for the opponents Isidro faces at his level, it's exactly what he needs.
A short dagger with a distinctive curved blade that glows with heat when activated. The fire enchantment is visible as a shimmer along the edge — the blade radiates warmth even when dormant. Sized appropriately for a young fighter, it looks unassuming until the flame ignites.
