Item from Berserk by Kentaro Miura
The Egg of the King — a blood-red artifact that appears once every 216 years to offer one person the world in exchange for everyone they love.
The Crimson Beherit is unique among beherits — there is only one, and it appears to whoever causality has predetermined will become the next God Hand member. It found its way to Griffith through a fortune teller's stall, and no matter how many times it was lost or discarded, it returned to him. Beherits always reach their destined owner. When Griffith activated it at the moment of his deepest despair — his body ruined, his dream dying, his friends the only thing he had left — the Crimson Beherit opened the Eclipse and presented him with the choice: sacrifice everything for godhood, or die in a broken body with nothing. He chose. The world changed. Guts currently possesses a regular beherit (not crimson) that Puck found. Its purpose remains unknown.
A small, egg-shaped object the color of dried blood, covered in scrambled human facial features — eyes, nose, mouth — arranged wrong across its surface. The eyes occasionally open and stare. When activated, the features rearrange into a distressed face that weeps tears of blood, and the dimensional barrier between worlds tears open.
