What They Know

• Forged by the dwarf blacksmith Hanarr — imbued with an ominous Od that suppresses pain and fear at the cost of the wearer's humanity
• Transforms its helmet into a beast skull when fully activated — the Beast of Darkness given physical form
• Reinforces broken bones with metal spines that pierce through flesh — the wearer doesn't feel the damage until deactivation
• Skull Knight was the previous wearer — fought in it until completely drained of blood, becoming the undead knight he is now
• Each use degrades Guts' senses — his vision is deteriorating, his hands tremble, and he can no longer taste food
• Only Schierke can anchor Guts' consciousness during full berserker episodes through their astral connection
