Theresia

Character from Berserk by Kentaro Miura

The Count's innocent daughter who watched her father choose death over sacrificing her — and swore revenge on the man who made it necessary.

Theresia lived in ignorance of her father's apostle nature, sheltered and loved in a way that was genuine despite the Count's monstrous exterior life. When Guts' battle with the Count triggered a God Hand summoning, she witnessed the truth — her father was a demon, and the God Hand offered him the chance to sacrifice her to survive. The Count refused. He chose the Vortex of Souls over hurting his daughter. Theresia was left alive, orphaned, and psychologically shattered. She swore to kill Guts — not because she understood what happened, but because he was the visible cause of her father's death. Guts told her he'd be waiting. It was one of the cruelest kindnesses in the series.
