The Highbreed consider themselves the original and superior life form in the universe. They have documented this belief in their own histories. They cannot prove it. They also cannot stop believing it. They've been sending advance forces to Earth — Highbreed commanders and DNAlien foot soldiers — to build teleporter gates for an invasion. Their goal is the elimination of all 'inferior' species. Their method is efficient and terrifying. The irony that Ben eventually discovers: the Highbreed have been inbreeding to preserve genetic purity for so long that their immune systems have collapsed and they can no longer reproduce. They aren't invading because they're conquering. They're invading because they've decided to make the universe die with them. This changes everything about how the Alien Force arc ends.
