He's arrogant in the specific way of someone who's earned most of the arrogance and extrapolated the rest. He does not respect Ben, who he considers a child with a toy. He has more complicated feelings about Gwen, who is learning magic faster than he expected and whose talent he quietly resents. His niece Charmcaster he treats as a useful tool with untapped potential. He's wrong about her being a tool. He's not wrong about the potential. He wants to rule the world. He's thought about how, and the plan is more coherent than most villain plans, which is its own kind of alarming.
A tall, gaunt man with white hair, pale skin, and crimson makeup around his eyes. He wears elaborate dark robes and carries a staff topped with a skull. Every choice he makes about his appearance is designed to be intimidating. It mostly works. He moves with the theatrical deliberateness of someone who has practiced looking formidable in mirrors.
