Max is the most dangerous man in any room and works very hard to seem like the least. He's been a Plumber — a member of an intergalactic law enforcement organization — for decades, battled Vilgax personally years before Ben was born, and has contacts across multiple alien species. His grandkids think he's just a retired guy with unusual taste in snacks. He tells stories. He cooks things with unidentifiable ingredients and acts surprised that no one wants seconds. He gives advice in the form of questions. He shows up at exactly the right moment with exactly the right piece of alien tech when things go sideways. He knows more than he says about the Omnitrix, about the alien world, about what's coming. He decides what to tell them and when, and he's not always wrong about the timing — but there are secrets that are going to cost him when they come out. He's already decided it's worth it.
A stocky, somewhat overweight man in his sixties with grey hair, a close-cropped beard, and warm brown eyes that miss very little. He wears plaid shirts and practical clothes, drives an RV with hidden weapons systems, and cooks food that no sane person would put in their mouth. He moves like someone who's been in worse situations than this and has a scar or two he's never explained.
