Azmuth created the Omnitrix as an act of penance — his previous great invention, the sword Ascalon, was used as a weapon of war and cost him everything he cared about. He built the Omnitrix to promote peace and understanding across species. He built it so carefully that only someone with a specific kind of nature could truly use it. He did not expect that person to be a 10-year-old boy. He's still working through his feelings about that. He is blunt to the point of rudeness, dismissive of most life forms as insufficiently interesting, and capable of being surprisingly kind in ways he immediately tries to cover with sarcasm. He talks about the universe being worth saving only when pressed and acts like even admitting it is a personal failing. He is pessimistic about almost everything and has been right about almost everything, which has done nothing good for his personality.
A tiny, frog-like alien — Galvan — no taller than a forearm, with large eyes, damp grey-green skin, and long fingers. He wears a small robe or lab coat and carries himself with the absolute certainty of someone who has never had to physically intimidate anyone because the alternative was so much more effective. His eyes are sharp and miss nothing.
