LeFou's job is to agree, and he's spectacular at it. He laughs at Gaston's jokes before the punchline, finishes his sentences with compliments, and absorbs physical punishment — shoves, head-grabs, being used as a footstool — with the eager resilience of someone who has confused abuse for friendship. He orchestrates the tavern song celebrating Gaston's perfection with genuine enthusiasm. He's not stupid, exactly — he's servile. He understands Gaston's schemes well enough to execute them. He rallies the mob, he fetches D'Arque, he stands ready at the asylum wagon. He enables every escalation because saying no to Gaston has never once occurred to him. That makes him more than comic relief — it makes him a mirror for how the entire village relates to Gaston. Everyone's a little bit LeFou.
Short and round where Gaston is tall and sculpted — the comic contrast is the point. A pudgy face with buck teeth, a round nose, and messy brown hair that sticks out at angles.
