Into the Future takes the Empire of Cats' campaign to the next logical extreme: if the cats can conquer a continent, what happens when the threat goes planetary? The future Earth has been invaded by alien forces with power levels that dwarf anything encountered in the first arc. Stages are harder. Enemies hit differently. The Alien trait becomes a primary concern. Narrative stakes are higher here too — the Commander is not just claiming territory but attempting to prevent the extinction of Earth itself, which is the kind of mission that sounds absurd when delivered by an army of round cats but is treated with total earnestness by everyone involved. This sincerity in the face of absurdity is what Battle Cats does best.
Recognizable continental shapes rendered in sickly purples and cosmic blues. Cities reduced to silhouettes. The sky is wrong — too many moons, the wrong colors, occasionally the visible presence of alien vessels in high orbit. Everything familiar has been made strange and dangerous.
