Treasures are passive buffs that power up the cat army when collected from stages — better production speed, more cat wallet slots, enhanced damage against specific enemy types. They drop randomly from defeated stages, which means grinding for a specific Treasure can be tedious. The Treasure Radar eliminates the randomness: use one, guarantee the drop. Veteran commanders hoard Treasure Radars for particularly elusive drops. The item is comparatively rare itself, which creates a satisfying meta-resource puzzle: when is a guaranteed Treasure drop worth spending a Radar? The cats do not understand this calculation. They just want to run forward. The Commander does the math.
A handheld device shaped vaguely like a cat head, with a small screen displaying a blinking ping. When activated, it emits a soft chime and the stage's treasure glows visibly through the terrain, as if the item is embarrassed by how useful it is and wants to get this over with.
