Macho Cat is the everyman of the Battle Cat army — cheap to produce, quick to deploy, and absolutely tireless in the face of overwhelming odds. It will march directly into a Bore's drill without hesitation. It will throw itself at a Crazed Tank. It does not have the self-preservation instinct that most would consider essential to survival, and it is better for it. In lore, Macho Cat represents the spirit of the whole enterprise: scrappy, abundant, expendable in the best possible sense. A single Macho Cat is a speed bump. A wall of Macho Cats is a tide. The Commander relies on them not for their power but for their presence — they buy time, they absorb hits, they make it possible for the big guns to do their work. They are proud of this role, as far as anyone can tell from their permanent battle-grimace.
A small, spherical cat body with stubby limbs, perpetually balled fists, and a red cloth headband tied tightly around a head that is mostly eyes and determination. Strikes a fighting pose that is simultaneously intimidating and endearing. Its evolved True Form, Mohawk Cat, adds a dramatic spiky haircut.
