A berserk, corrupted version of the basic Battle Cat — red-eyed, frenzied, and far more dangerous than its round shape suggests.
The Crazed Cats are what happens when the basic Battle Cat units are pushed past their limits — corrupted by some unknown force (possibly overexposure to certain stage environments, possibly just too much catnip) into frenzied versions of themselves. They retain their original forms but are dramatically more powerful and considerably harder to predict. Each Crazed Cat corresponds to a standard unit type and must be defeated in a special Crazed stage before it can be recruited to the Commander's army. This makes them both enemies and potential allies — a narrative tension the cats themselves seem entirely unbothered by. Once recruited, a Crazed Cat fights with the unhinged ferocity you'd expect, which turns out to be a significant tactical asset.
Identical in silhouette to Macho Cat, but the whites of its eyes have gone bloodshot red and its expression has shifted from determined to unhinged. Moves with a twitchy, erratic energy. In its Manic form, the corruption appears to calcify into something even more unsettling.
