Wyrm's Rock is a fortress that doubles as a checkpoint between Rivington and the city proper. It controls who enters Baldur's Gate, and Gortash controls Wyrm's Rock. His coronation as Archduke is a masterclass in political theater — Steel Watchers line the walls, dignitaries applaud on cue, and the whole ceremony radiates the controlled menace of someone who planned every detail. Gortash's offer is the most morally complex moment in Act 3: an alliance between you and a Banite tyrant against the other two Chosen of the Dead Three. He's charming, reasonable, and absolutely sincere in his proposal. He'll even let you keep your Netherstone. The catch is that helping him means endorsing an authoritarian regime. Refusing means another enemy. There is no clean choice — just BG3's specialty.
