Reithwin Town

Location from baldurs-gate-3 by Larian Studios

A cursed ghost town frozen in the moment of its death — the tollhouse, brewery, and streets are haunted by Thorm family undead who don't fully realize their world ended a century ago.

Reithwin is a town-shaped grave. Buildings stand intact but empty, preserved by the shadow curse like insects in amber. The brewery still runs — Thisobald Thorm, a bloated undead giant, serves ale brewed from shadow-cursed ingredients and demands you drink with him. The tollhouse is manned by Gerringothe Thorm, who has fused with gold coins until she's more metal than flesh, demanding payment from travelers on a road no one has walked in a hundred years. The town tells Ketheric Thorm's story through its ruins. His family's mausoleum is here, the brewery his ancestor built, the toll road that funded their ambitions. The Thorm family's undead descendants are tragedies played as boss fights — each one can be defeated through conversation if you understand their delusion well enough to break it.
