Iron Throne

Location from baldurs-gate-3 by Larian Studios

An underwater prison controlled by Gortash — Duke Ravengard and Gondian families are imprisoned here as leverage, and you have six turns to save them before the whole facility implodes.

The Iron Throne is a submersible prison accessible only by submarine. Once inside, the clock starts: Gortash triggers the self-destruct sequence, and you have six turns to free prisoners scattered across flooding corridors while sahuagin pour in through breached walls. Duke Ravengard — Wyll's father — is here, along with Gondian families held hostage to force their engineers to build Steel Watchers. Every turn spent saving one group of prisoners is a turn not spent reaching another. It's BG3's purest expression of consequence under pressure — you will almost certainly not save everyone, and who you prioritize reveals what you value. The Iron Throne doesn't ask if you're good. It asks what kind of good you are.

Also known as: The Iron Throne, Underwater Prison, Gortash's Prison
