An ancient underground temple-forge of Shar, occupied by duergar slavers forcing deep gnome prisoners to excavate a sealed Adamantine Forge — layers of history buried under layers of cruelty.
Grymforge is architecturally stunning and morally horrifying in equal measure. Sharran murals cover walls that duergar have defaced with crude graffiti. Deep gnomes work in chains while overseers crack whips. The air is thick with forge-heat and the metallic tang of ancient machinery. Nere, a True Soul duergar, is trapped behind a cave-in and the enslaved gnomes debate whether to save or bury him. The Adamantine Forge itself is a marvel — a functional relic that can produce indestructible equipment, guarded by Grym, a construct that has outlived everyone who built it. The forge presents a classic BG3 dilemma: incredible power, buried under layers of suffering, accessible only by navigating between factions who all want something different.
