The crèche operates with military precision that makes Flaming Fist barracks look like summer camp. Githyanki warriors train in courtyards, children are sorted by combat aptitude, and the word of Vlaakith is literally carved into the walls. The architecture is severe, angular, and beautiful in the way a sword is beautiful. The zaith'isk — the purification device Lae'zel believes will cure the tadpole — sits in a chamber guarded by the Inquisitor. Using it reveals that Vlaakith doesn't want to cure her soldiers; she wants to control them. The crèche is the place where Lae'zel's entire worldview either breaks or hardens, and the player gets to decide which. It's also the gateway to a confrontation with a projection of Vlaakith herself, who casually orders you dead.
