Appearance

A colossal brain suspended in a pool of brine, its surface writhing with psychic energy. Tentacle-like appendages extend from its mass, pulsing with alien intelligence. It communicates telepathically, its thoughts arriving as an overwhelming pressure behind the eyes.

What They Know

• The three Chosen use Netherstones to control it, but its own will is constantly pushing against their dominion
• It is the source of the Absolute's power — broadcasting psychic commands through infected tadpoles
• If it gains the Crown of Karsus, it will become a god-brain capable of enthralling the entire world
• It resides in the Morphic Pool beneath Baldur's Gate in the final act
