Riverwatch

Location from Azarinth Healer by Rhaegar

A frontier city of a hundred thousand souls perched on the edge of elven territory — where Ilea first landed on Elos and where Dale keeps the walls standing through sheer stubbornness.

Riverwatch is where Ilea's story on Elos began, and it still feels like a beginning — a place where newcomers arrive, level up through the guild's tiered system, and either settle or move on to more dangerous territory. Nearly a hundred thousand people live here, mostly humans with some lizardfolk, all of them aware that Navali Forest is a day's march away and the elves haven't forgotten they're there. The adventurers' guild runs the economy as much as the official government does. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Crystal, Ruby — the rank tiers determine what jobs you can take and what the guild takes as commission (10% of everything). The Riversong gang operates in the shadows, led by figures like Vincent Halligan, running protection rackets and intelligence operations. The Riverwatch City Festival, with its tournament, is the social highlight — where reputations are made and broken. Ilea saw fire magic here and decided she wanted a fire class. The city shaped her early trajectory as much as any dungeon.

Appearance

A large walled city with the practical, utilitarian architecture of a settlement that expects to be attacked regularly. Watchtowers line the walls facing Navali Forest. The streets inside are busy and diverse — market districts, guild halls, and taverns serving a population that ranges from level-10 farmers to level-100 adventurers. The adventurers' guild building dominates the central square.
