Erendar is where the story stops being a standard fantasy and briefly becomes science fiction. Ilea reached it through a portal created by radical Order of Truth members in Baralia, which tells you something about the kind of people who think punching holes in reality to reach alien moons is a good idea. The moon is home to the Daughters of Sephilon — death spirits that were trying to destroy the Meadow when Ilea arrived. The rescue and subsequent extraction of a being above level 2000 from an alien moon to Elos is one of the most consequential things Ilea has ever done, and she approached it with her usual strategy: show up, punch things, deal with the consequences later. Erendar represents the wider cosmos beyond Elos — proof that the world is much bigger than any continent, any empire, any dungeon. The Fae, the Ascended, and other cosmic-scale entities all operate in this larger arena.

The Meadow's location on Erendar was a pocket of pitch-black grass, crystal tree, and golden fireflies surrounded by hostile territory dominated by the Daughters of Sephilon.
