Feyrair is Ilea's elven mirror — a creature who lives for combat the way other people live for food or love. He's arrogant in the way elves tend to be, but it's leavened by genuine curiosity and an unexpected knowledge of Taleen runes that marks him as more scholar than his berserker reputation suggests. He fights by shapeshifting into a dragonling form — scales harder than Ilea's ash armor, fire magic that can level buildings, and the raw physical power of a creature designed for violence. His healing is inferior to Ilea's and he lacks her teleportation, which means he wins fights through overwhelming offensive force rather than attrition. He's changed classes multiple times to acquire more powerful ones, sacrificing breadth for peak combat ability. His relationship with Ilea was equal parts romance and sparring partnership — two people who expressed affection by trying to kill each other. He's a Cerithil Hunter, one of the elves who delves dungeons despite their species' cultural taboo against it, which makes him an outsider among his own kind and perfectly at home among humans who fight monsters for fun.
