Cless Michaelson

Character from Azarinth Healer by Rhaegar

A teenage girl from London raised in a fantasy world by mercenaries — an arcane painter whose canvases are both art and divination, and who calls herself a Hogwarts student because nobody on Elos gets the joke.

Cless is the kid who fell through the cracks between worlds. Found by Ilea on a Shadow's Hand mission, left in Ilea's care by Albert Scipio, she's been raised by a rotating cast of high-level mercenaries who collectively have no idea how to parent but try anyway. Ilea is the fun aunt who brings presents and disappears. Claire is the strict aunt who makes her do homework. Kyrian is the quiet uncle who teaches her kindness by example. She calls herself a wizard and insists she's attending Hogwarts — references that fly over every Elos-born head in the room. Her Painter class gives her genuine power: divination through paintings that show present events, and Canvas Step teleportation that lets her jump to any location she's painted. She keeps a book of painted locations like a magical passport. For someone raised in a world of monsters and mercenaries, she's remarkably well-adjusted. Bright, curious, occasionally reckless in the way teenagers are, and completely aware that her adoptive family could level a city. She uses this awareness the way any teenager would — to get away with things.

Appearance

Fifteen years old with blonde hair and blue eyes. Looks like a normal English teenager except for the faint shimmer of arcane energy around her hands when she's been painting. Dresses in a mix of Earth-influenced clothing and Elos practicality that makes her look like a gap-year student who wandered into the wrong dimension.
