Odiha is a footnote that became a turning point. A small Marleyan port town with a hangar facility, it was where the Alliance — Eldians and Marleyans united against Eren's apocalypse — scrambled to repair an airship while the Rumbling bore down on them. The town itself is modest, coastal, unremarkable in every way except timing. The hangar became a workshop for the impossible: mechanics and soldiers working side by side, knowing that the wall of steam on the horizon was getting closer and that the plane they were repairing was their only chance. Hange Zoe bought them time by riding out alone against the approaching Colossal Titans. The price of that time was everything Hange had left to give.
