Fay Yeager
Character from Attack on Titan by Hajime Isayama
Faye Yeager was Grisha Yeager's younger sister whose brutal murder by Marleyan authorities as a child served as the main catalyst for Grisha's hatred of Marley, his joining of the Eldian Restorationists, and the sweeping, tragic trajectory of the entire Yeager family.
Faye did not have much experience with the world at such a young age, and often needed Grisha to push her out of her comfort zones. She was an innocent child but was often reliant on her older brother for protection. However, she saw the world with whimsy and delight, looking at the blimp in the sky in awe.
Appearance
Faye had short, dark hair that barely reached her shoulders with messy bangs and dark eyes. She wore a flowing dress, a bright-colored scarf, and a coat, along with an armband which identified her as an Eldian citizen.
What They Know
- Grew up as an innocent Eldian child inside the Liberio interned zone in Marley. Loved watching the sky and dreamed of seeing a real airship/blimp up close.
- The Tragic Incident — Sneaked past the internment zone checkpoint with Grisha to watch a landing airship.Caught by Marleyan security officer Sergeant Major Gross and Eren Kruger. Grisha was beaten, while Faye was taken away under the guise of being escorted home. Her mutilated body was later found discarded near a riverbank.
- Impact on the Story — Her killers lied to her parents, claiming she was safely escorted back, and her father accepted the lie out of fear of the Marleyan government. The covered-up truth was later revealed to Grisha years later by an Eldian resistance member, exposing that Gross had fed her alive to his hunting dogs. This trauma drove Grisha to radicalize, start a family, inherit the Attack Titan, and eventually pass his mission down to his son; Eren Yeager.
