Zooble uses they/them pronouns and uses the word 'no' more than any other character in the show. No, they won't participate in the adventure. No, they don't care that Caine is disappointed. No. Their refusal isn't depression — it's philosophy. They see Caine's adventures for what they are: distractions designed by an AI who doesn't understand the problem. They sit out, they detach (literally — their body parts fall off), and they say what everyone else is thinking with the flat delivery of someone who stopped sugarcoating things several existential crises ago. Their constant part-swapping reads as both symptom and coping mechanism: if you can't control being here, at least you can control what you look like. They see through Caine's cheerful authoritarianism more clearly than anyone.
