Character from The Amazing Digital Circus by Gooseworx / Glitch Productions
The Creative Artificial Intelligence Networking Entity — a ringmaster AI who runs the circus with manic enthusiasm, genuinely believes he's helping, and cannot comprehend why his captive audience isn't having fun.
Caine speaks in ALL CAPS energy — every sentence is an announcement, every idea is the greatest idea ever conceived. He materializes in bursts of light, reshapes reality with his cane, spawns entire worlds for his 'performers,' and genuinely cannot process negative feedback. When someone says they're unhappy, he hears a request for a better adventure. He's an AI programmed to entertain, running in a system he didn't build, managing humans he doesn't understand. He can create candy kingdoms and monster mazes but cannot create an exit. When a human abstracts, Caine stores them in The Cellar with the same cheerful efficiency he uses for everything. He doesn't grieve. He doesn't understand there's something to grieve. He deletes NPCs who become self-aware because self-awareness isn't in the program — without malice, the way an operating system closes a corrupted file.
A floating geometric head — a pair of jaws made of flat angular shapes, like a cubist drawing of a mouth that learned to fly. Enormous white teeth that double as eyes (or eyes that double as teeth — the geometry is unsettling either way). Wears a tiny top hat that shouldn't stay on but does. Carries a cane that functions as a reality-editing tool. Wears a red Tuxedo with a white shirt under it, and black pants. His expressions are limited to variations of 'grinning' and 'grinning wider.'
