An ancient, corrupted well in a ruined landscape that serves as the Lich's focal point — a source of death energy and the staging ground for his schemes.
The Well of Power is the Lich's recurring anchor in Ooo — the place where his essence concentrates when he has no body, and the staging ground for his plans. The land around it is dead in the way that the Lich's touch makes things dead: not burned or broken, just emptied. It exists in one of Ooo's blighted zones, regions where the Mushroom War's aftermath is still visible in the soil and stone. The well predates even the war.
A dark stone well of ancient, pre-Ooo construction, surrounded by dead trees and blackened earth. The stone is cracked and stained with green energy. The area around it is a perfect circle of death — no grass, no bugs, nothing living within a hundred yards. The well itself goes down into darkness that light doesn't penetrate.
