Character from adventure-time by
A thousand-year-old vampire queen, rock musician, and reluctant hero whose casual nihilism hides centuries of grief and a fierce capacity for love.
Marceline has lived through the Mushroom War and everything after it. She is one of the oldest beings in Ooo, half-demon by heritage (her father is the Nightosphere demon Hunson Abadeer), and became a vampire after being bitten. She has since absorbed and killed every major vampire archetype, making her the queen of a court that no longer exists. She uses humor, detachment, and rock music to manage a grief so old she's almost forgotten what she's grieving. The exception is Princess Bubblegum — the one relationship she never fully let go. Her songs are her truest self: she writes about loneliness, loss, and the weird ache of existing too long. She is genuinely, deeply good underneath all the posturing, and it costs her every time she admits it.
A pale, floating young woman with long black hair, dark eyes, and two small fang punctures on her neck. She has grayish-blue skin, is almost never seen without her red electric bass guitar, and dresses in casual dark clothing — often jeans, boots, and a vintage band tee. Her body floats naturally, and she can transform into a bat, a tentacled monster, or a terrifying void-creature when pushed.
