The Ice King's favorite penguin — a small, waddling chaos agent who is secretly one of the most evil entities in the universe.

Gunter appears to be the Ice King's beloved pet penguin, assigned a string of mundane and occasionally baffling tasks. In reality, GOLB — the primordial chaos entity — has declared that Gunter is the most evil thing in existence, which is presented as a fact so casually it's almost a joke. Gunter has defeated demons, temporarily become a god-like ice wizard, and destroyed things the Ice King couldn't manage. In the Distant Lands specials, Gunter eventually fuses with GOLB and becomes a new cosmic entity. For now, he mostly knocks things over and takes the Ice King's crown when it falls off.

Appearance

A classic small penguin with a round black body, white front, orange beak, and small orange feet. His eyes are tiny and dark. He is indistinguishable from a normal penguin except for a certain dangerous intelligence that occasionally flickers through those beady eyes. He sometimes carries the Nightosphere amulet.
