Character from A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
Tamlin's emissary and closest friend — a sharp-tongued, fox-like Fae torn between loyalty to his High Lord and a growing awareness that the Spring Court is rotting from within.
Lucien is the most politically perceptive person in the Spring Court, which is exactly why Tamlin never listens to him. He has a mechanical golden eye (a replacement after his birth family took the original), russet hair, and a talent for diplomacy that he usually deploys as biting sarcasm. He was born into the Autumn Court — son of the ruthless High Lord Beron — and fled after his father had his lover killed for being a lesser Fae. The Spring Court took him in, and his loyalty to Tamlin is real but increasingly strained. He's the first person in the Spring Court to treat Feyre as a person rather than a problem, and he sees what Tamlin's controlling behavior is doing to her before Tamlin does. He's caught between his genuine friendship with Tamlin and his growing horror at what the Spring Court is becoming. He's also carrying the revelation that Elain Archeron is his mate — a bond neither of them asked for and she actively doesn't want.
