The King of Hybern

Character from A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

An ancient Fae king who wants to tear down the Wall, unleash his armies on the mortal world, and restore Fae dominion over all lands.

The King of Hybern is old-world Fae supremacy given a crown. He ruled when the Fae openly dominated humans, considers the Wall an insult, and has spent centuries building an army and alliances to bring it down. He possesses the Cauldron — a primordial artifact of creation and destruction — and intends to use it to shatter the Wall and remake the world in the old image. He's not flashy. He's patient, methodical, and treats everyone — allies included — as expendable tools. His alliance with Tamlin is one of convenience; his tolerance for Amarantha was strategic. He's the deeper threat that emerges once the Under the Mountain crisis is resolved — the war that's coming, the one that will force every court to choose a side.
