The Weaver's Cottage

Location from acotar-wings-and-ruin by

A death-trap disguised as a home, the Weaver's Cottage is the forest prison of an ancient, half-mad creature who holds a piece of the Dread Trove and kills anything that enters without invitation.

Deep in the wilds of Prythian, far from any court or road, the Weaver's Cottage squats like a tick on the land. It is not a home in any sense a sane creature would recognize—it is a trap, a larder, and a prison for the thing that lives inside, a being older than the courts, bound to her loom and her hunger. To step within its walls uninvited is to become the next thread in her tapestry.

Appearance

A small, crooked cottage of grey stone and rotting thatch, huddled in a clearing of gnarled, skeletal trees whose branches claw at a perpetually grey sky. Inside, the air is thick with the smell of damp wool, old blood, and something metallic—the loom stands in the center, its shuttle clicking like a deathwatch beetle, and from its threads hang tapestries woven from the hair and memories of the dead.
