What They Know
- The Wall was raised after the War five centuries ago to prevent the fae from crossing into mortal lands.
- It is not a physical wall but a membrane of pure magic, keyed to the blood of the High Lords who swore the Treaty.
- Crossing without permission is painful and dangerous; iron and ash can weaken it temporarily.
- The King of Hybern used the Cauldron to tear a hole in the Wall, and it has not healed.
- Mortal queens know of the Wall but do not understand its true nature; they patrol with iron and faebane.
- The Wall is said to be maintained by the collective will of the High Lords; as their unity fractures, so does the Wall.
