The Mountain is the scarred, hollow peak where Amarantha held the High Lords captive for fifty years, a place of blood, ash, and unending terror that still reeks of old screams.
Once a neutral meeting ground, the Mountain became Amarantha's fortress and prison, a labyrinth of torture chambers, a grand throne room carved from living rock, and the killing floor where she held her deadly games. The Mountain remains a haunted wound in the land, a monument to cruelty that even the High Lords cannot bear to speak of openly, its shadow a permanent stain on the memory of Prythian.
A jagged black tooth against the sky, its slopes bare of life, the stone veined with red as if the mountain itself bled. The entrance is a gaping maw of darkness, and within, the tunnels are slick with damp and the memory of pain, the air thick with the iron tang of old blood and the faint, lingering scent of faebane.
