Hybern

Location from acotar-wings-and-ruin by

The King of Hybern's ancient island realm, a fortress of ash and iron where an army gathers to tear down the Wall and enslave the mortal world.

Hybern is the oldest enemy of the Treaty, a kingdom that has never forgotten the War five hundred years gone and has spent every century since sharpening its blades. Its High King rules with a will of iron and a voice that carries the weight of the Cauldron's stolen power, and from his throne he commands an army of fae, beasts, and Made horrors that grows larger with every moon. The island is a fortress unto itself—no fleet has ever taken its shores, and no spy has ever returned from its depths.

Appearance

Hybern rises from the grey-green sea like a clenched fist—black cliffs sheathed in mist, beaches of pale ash-sand, and a capital city of obsidian and bone that glitters with watch-fires night and day. The air tastes of salt and cold iron, and the wind carries the sound of hammers forging chains and the low, ceaseless chanting of the King's priests.
