A poisonous herb that chokes the magic from a faerie's blood, leaving them mortal-weak and helpless.

What They Know

Faebane grows only in mortal lands, particularly in the barrows and fields south of the Wall where old blood soaked the earth during the last War.
The plant is harmless to humans but lethal to fae magic: even a single drop of its oil on a High Lord's skin can cut their power in half for hours.
Hybern's apothecaries have learned to concentrate faebane into a vapor that can choke an entire battlefield, leaving every faerie soldier gasping and powerless.
The King of Hybern stockpiles faebane by the ton, brewing it into arrows, sword-poisons, and siege weapons for the coming war.
There is no known antidote; only time and distance from the poison will let a fae's magic return, and even then it leaves a lingering weakness for days.
