Here, the High Lords of Prythian are reduced to shadows of themselves, their magic leashed by the curse that binds them, their dignity stripped away in the endless revels and tortures their captor orchestrates. It is a place where hope goes to die, and where a mortal girl might be the only spark that sets it ablaze.
A vast, oppressive cavern of black rock lit by guttering torches and the cold glow of faerie fire, its walls slick with damp and its floors stained with old blood.
