Faebane is the most feared poison in the mortal lands, a weapon designed specifically to cripple the fae. It is brewed from the leaves and stems of the faebane plant, which grows only south of the Wall in places steeped in iron-rich soil. A single drop on a faerie's skin will send their magic into convulsions; a sip will drain them of power for hours or days.

Appearance

A murky, greenish-brown liquid, thick as old honey and faintly luminescent in the dark. It smells of rot and wet earth, with an undertone of something sharp and metallic—like blood after a long hunt. Stored in stoppered clay vials, often wrapped in iron wire to prevent accidental breakage.

What They Know
