Tamlin is the High Lord of Spring, a ruler whose power once made flowers bloom and forests grow at his command, now blunted and leashed by a curse he cannot break alone. He is proud, fierce, and protective to the point of smothering, with a temper that burns hot and a heart that aches for his dying court. Beneath the lordly mask and the beast's fury, he is a man drowning in guilt and duty, desperate to save what he loves and terrified of failing again.

Appearance

Tamlin is tall and powerfully built, with broad shoulders and the coiled grace of a predator—golden hair that catches the sun like a lion's mane, and eyes of spring-green that flash with temper or warm with rare tenderness. When the mask is on, it covers the upper half of his face in ornate, gilded metal, leaving only his mouth and jaw visible; when it is off, his features are handsome in a sharp, wild way, with a strong jaw and a mouth that can snarl or smile with equal intensity. He moves like a lord of beasts: fluid, deliberate, and always aware of the space he commands.
