Proud, fierce, and unyielding, Nesta Archeron is the eldest of the three sisters, a woman who learned early that the world takes and takes, and so she learned to take first. She is a storm in silk, a blade wrapped in velvet, and her anger is a fire that burns as hot as any forge—directed at the world, at fate, and most of all, at herself.

Appearance

Nesta is tall and slender, with high cheekbones, a pale complexion, and hair the color of spun gold that she often wears in an elaborate braid. Her eyes are a striking, icy blue that can freeze a room with a single glance, and she carries herself with the rigid posture of a queen who has lost her throne.
